Pinup Girl History
Here is a brief history of pinup girls. Although many people think pinups started in the US during WWII, they did not. Its popularity began in the 19th century. Most notably, pinup modeling gained popularity during burlesque performances. Actresses also used pinup pictures as advertisements for their shows.
Then, pinup-style girls were used in some publications. And pinup girls were often the fighter plane’s nose art during WWII. Betty Grable is the most famous pinup girl.
